Ten days to Christmas !!

15/12/16

Can you believe only ten days until Christmas Day?! Those of you that work with animals will know that basically it is business as usual ! We will feed and muck out as normal though and the horse walker will be on ... I myself have two weeks holiday to squeeze in before the middle of January so Kate is busy checking prices and availability as we speak! ! A rather amusing video is on our Facebook page this evening showing Peterhouse in the paddock this morning .. We lost count of how many times he rolled then bucked squealed and rolled again ! Ypres has palled up with Pete and together they have matching mud packs ! Never say is almost ready to go and we are very pleased with her progress.. Fingers crossed we ( she) can turn all those seconds into firsts this winter .. We have moved her into the main yard and she seems happy content and ready to roll! Stretwise too has returned after a little rest and is full of life and another who eats me out of house and home .. Heavenly Gait runs at Bangor next week and we think has come on tons since her encouraging debut at Wetherby she worked really nicely yesterday ! The Power filly is almost three and continues to grow .. By far the biggest horse in our team and as some chestnut fillies are .. A bit of a one !! Rory still enjoying his down time piling the pounds on and squealing like a yearling ... Poor old Terry looked at me this morning and said with a wry smile ..." I ve got to ride him again after Xmas .... I can't wait !!!" Monte is now on the easy though this morning frightened Jordan to death as he thought he would just make sure the gears still worked and momentarily floored the gas ! ! The babies continue to learn and really are a credit to Tim who did such a fantastic job breaking them in !!! Give him a pay rise I say !! Back soon ....
