Doncaster de brief

We are certainly not making any excuses as we are more than happy with Peterhouse s run today .. A red hot race that was possibly a little too far and too soft saw "us" jump travel and finish a safe and very creditable seventh . If you watched the race you will see we could have been a decent fifth though cliff did nt get stuck in once we were beaten . Decent animals in front of us and decent ones behind us too !! We live to more than fight another day and he may possibly go to Newmarket in a weeks time . We will lead him out in the morning pick of grass and paddock all afternoon then heads together early next week before any decision is made . The owner of course will have the final say . A gorgeous day in Middleham today and we have had horses a plenty in the paddock today ... Most of whom did not want to come in this evening !! My electric fencing is taking a hell of a battering as one Sweetnessandlight seems to think that pregnancy makes her immune ! Yearlings continue to please and "Brutus" my Pastoral Pursuits colt has already a "right ass" on him ! Without going through them all our gee gees still look amazing and doing all that we ask of them .. A weekend off for "yours truly" which I think is the first proper weekend off for two months without runners !!... We love it really ! Kate and I are actually going away for a couple of nights and I have promised her a special treat tomorrow .. New frock and new hat ... Doncaster races tomorrow !!!!
