News from R Jay Ward Racing Ltd

Apologies for the delay in updating folks ... Rory at Goodwood was a touch dissapointing but all connections really enjoyed the day. We live to fight another day and all I shall say is " write him off at your peril " ..!! He is as well as ever and back to his normal self . Never Say runs at Ripon on Friday in the race she was third in last year and I am confident of another bold show . She won best turned out last year still with a trace clip and is definitely more forward this time around. !! Her work at home is flawless and it s " touch wood ". " fingers crossed" as we need a little luck and change in fortune . Peterhouse has an entry at Thirsk on Saturday though may go to York next Wednesday.. We will make a decision nearer the time . His last two runs at York he has finished second both times so we lol see . Heavenly Gait has a date with the hurdles next week .. She has schooled really well pleased us all and once again the boys in the yard rave about her work on the gallops . Joe Colliver will take the ride and once again .. I expect ! Ypres is working really well dropped his coat and may have an outing a week on Saturday .. Stretewise is firmly back on the mend and she has cantered steadily and her scrapes and bruises are fading slowly . Gloria continues to please and has grown so much you would not recognise her from the little grey filly that arrived before Xmas !! She is my little pocket rocket ! Bay Station has blossomed over the past few weeks and has now settled into our regime and is eating like a horse !! Pasty is doing all that we ask once again after having a growth spurt and still holds possible dates with a few fancy sales races .. He has changed so much from the little immature colt that arrived into a nice big lad and is now like a naughty teenager ! Everyone who sits on Embers loves him though he still refuses to shed his winter coat so a little more time and some sunshine are needed . He's nice ! Sweetness I believe was covered today by Brazen Beau so fingers crossed that she is in foal this time .. Watch this space ..
