Monte came through his comeback race in fine fettle and finished a very pleasing fifth in what can only be described as heavy ground ! It was a hot little race and I think Mr Sutton and co were more than happy . Tom Eaves too was happy with Bushy s performance and gave us a detailed de brief ( in the pouring rain )!! My brother will I am certain find the correct route in which to proceed ... John I have your brolly !! Whilst writing this I am watching a documentary on our remembrance of the First World War ... Ypres the horse s naming and story are well documented.. ( he runs on Wednesday ground permitting ) he is in great shape and how apt it would be ! Bay Station is entered in the same race and she was squealing round her stable this evening at feed time .. Embers Glow also is entered on Wednesday so a busy day it could be ... We would not have it any other way . The lad that spends most time with this compact chestnut colt believes that we are yet to see what he is capable of .. Peterhouse I believe will go to Beverley next so fingers crossed his favourite track will work the magic ... Rain forecast tomorrow again which is the last thing I want to see .. I shall return with a more detailed report before Wednesday.... ........ Mon copain m'a dit que les fleurs se sent Jolie !!
